Hope you have a great time. I am pushing it right now to make it on the water this weekend just not sure if it will happen.

I love the steering wheel. Can't wait for Saturday! A year and a half wait is a long time to not be on the water!

Yea I'll just have to wait and see how tight it's gonna be. I just got my new binnacle mount throttle control but I still need to order a steering wheel. I'm gonna be a copycat and order a wheel like yours. It looks really good. We decided not to get all new furniture, we're just gonna have the seat cushions reupholstered, the seat backs are still in really good shape.

I used my old gauges as well. Just make sure and have some hole saws. I used a 2 inch I think for the smaller ones and did multiple 1 inchers for the steering wheel and tach holes. I am 6 ft 160 I could squeeze in there it wasn't the best but after I while I got used to it. You could always make an access hatch in the front and trim it out if you needed to.

Check your PM's.

I am new to the forum so here goes. The console on my "98" Playcraft is shot so I ordered the same console you installed. I like the look with the steering wheel. Did you have enough room inside the console to work? I'm worried about having to squeeze into the console to mount the steering helm. Also was it a pain to cut a hole for the gauges? I'm gonna use my old steering helm and gauges. Just within for delivery on the console.

Thanks man! I am getting closer!

THE FLOATER is ready to go. I was flying solo so did not take her out, but man oh man is she ready!

Started and ran it on the hose 4 different times over the two days. :coffee:coffee (just to make sure after last year) :)

All railing bolts tightened down, seats cleaned using the 303 I got for xmas from my daughter (using the special pontoonstuff.com has on it), seat storage done to my liking... (the kids tried to store everything last time down):roll: both batteries fully charged and I even got the trailer guides on. My camera was acting up and I didn't know the trailer pics didn't take till I got home. I only have one box left from my parts and it has my LED's and cleats that is it! I don't think I will put the windshield on the console though I am still trying to decide? Not sure if we are going to get to take her out before Memorial Day Weekend or not, although The Admiral did mention we didn't have anything going on the 17th...... 8)

THE FLOATER is going to do more than sit on the trailer this year! She fired up on the 2nd turn of the key!!!! I added a pole for the cover and it seemed to do the trick. I only had about 5 gallons of water total on either side of the bow. It is almost impossible the way the fence is shaped to not have a little pooling there. I got the ski bar mounte. All the vest are on, noodles, rafts, AND CUPHOLDERS! We really wanted to take it out when we started dry boating, but the launch was full of crappie tournament and sponbill snagging boats. We had to burn all the leaves, clean out the trailers and I had to put a new coat of roof paint on the big one. I really hate down and backs to the lake just not enough time to get everything done. I forgot the camera so I didn't get a whole lot of pics either.

We are going down in 2 weeks to put her in!

No problem! that layout does leave a 5 inch gab by the stern gate. You could add a 7 inch arm and overlap the gate opening. I still haven't decided if I want to go that route or not....

Ivory Flip Flop Base

This is a little confusing at first, it list the whole seat first which is followed by the base and cushion for each size. I included the extra left lean back for the rear facing L group. The last one is the flip flop captains chair.

Starting from looking toward the stern of the boat and going left to right.
38 - 28 corner - up the port side - 28-28-LLB    then the bow of boat is simple

1LLB
1RLB
2- 38's
2- 28 corners

If I would have changed anything it might be a 28 instead of a 38 to start off with and  another Lean Back facing toward the port by the rear gate. I still haven't had a boat load of passengers so I may need that extra 10" of butt space which I wouldn't have if it was a lean back.

Good luck! Man hasn't even hit the water yet and it's been a year since I started it! Holler if you need any help!

Great work and terrific re-build! I've really enjoyed reading this thread. It's inspiring to look at my new (old / raggedy) pontoon and see that there is "hope" LOL. Wink

Thanks guys! It was just great to get down there and make sure all was well. We still need to go over the whole toon and make sure to tighten up all the bolts just in case. Mount the ski bar install new trailer guides, seat LED's etc. It sure is getting closer though!Star

Great day at the lake!! Ladder fit like a glove! Sun deck took some work but got it mounted, the old deck pad actually matches pretty well. It definitely needs cleaned. One of the aft cover poles fell down and we had about 50 gallons of water on the cover, but it sure is waterproof! I added another pole this time lets see how she does.
We ran out of time for anything else due to some 4 wheelin.... :nana:nana:nana:nana:nana
