Well I think I'm at the point where I can say it's done. WOOOOO---HOOOOOO!! I'm going to bring it to the marine division to get my HIN and bow numbers and registration on Wednesday.

Congratulations. She looks great
 . One word of caution. You may want to put those anchors inside the fence when trailering. They sure look good but I have heard of ropes breaking, etc and anchors bouncing under boats and tearing things up or even worse cars behind . I always just let some slack in mine and set in inside the fence. Congrats on the rebuild and cant wait to see some pics of her in the water!

Thats good that they have that. My catamaran has the shackle and pin too. I still tie a rope as a secondary but I have heard horror stories of the old crank up bass boat type anchors dropping in transit and putting a hole in the boat. Again excellent job on the toon!

I knew this was going to be a beautiful boat when I seen the parts you were using, you boat dosent look like something that has been hacked up and put back together at all....this thing looks like a $70,000 boat just pulling off the showroom floor......GREAT JOB!! If my boat looks half this good when finished I'll be happy, but that's probably not gonna happen..

Absolutely beautiful. You are gonna love using it even more than a new $70K + one because you'll also have the pride of having done it yourself. (And some cash left in your pocket too...) I wanna see it in the water, but I bet not nearly as much as you do! Great job and a great build thread. I love showing it to people to demonstrate what can be done.

I got the first step of getting the boat registered today. I had the local police come down and sign off that the boat is a home built boat. Now i need to take my receipts and photos and that paperwork to the DMV tomorrow and they will give me a HIN and bow numbers. Then its off to the lake in the afternoon for its maiden voyage.

Well i got the HIN, registration and bow numbers yesterday. I brought my receipts and a copy of this build to the DMV.They said it was the most detailed documentation of a boat they had seen. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes.
I took it out today for its first test ride. It gets up on plane almost instantly. I hit 40 mph going into a 10-15 mph head wind with the 2 parachutes, (i mean bimini tops) up. Water was very choppy. I rides like a cadillac and with that power assit steering, it turns on a dime. I think its actually "to" easy to turn the wheel. Motor RPM was 5400 so I may go from a 17" pitch prop to a 15". Also getting alot of water splashing the motor from between the toons so i will make some deflectors for that. I'm happy so far with the performance. Just wish it was calmer water so I could get a better indication of the top end. I'm hoping to get another 8-10 mph with calm water, and tweeking the rpm, jack plate, trim, and prop.

Rides lower in the rear but not bad considering 52 gals of fuel, 225 motor, 3 big batteries, 12 gal water tank, 3 gal oil tank, power steering assist pump, 2 water pumps. will get side view pics soon. Been raining ever since I put it in the water. rain for another 4 days.

Had to reread your posts and as I thought the fuel tank is located forward rather than at the rear. Makes lots of difference for weight distribution. This is also one of the best build from scratch I've seen and one of the best documentations of a build or rebuild. My hats off to you. Very well done.
