Well i just got back from the 2000 mile round trip to Indiana. i picked up my 3 logs, cross members and CCA plywood for my tritoon ground up build along with my new trailer. i will post pics as work progresses. This will be a 28 footer 25" diameter logs. powered by somewhere in the 200hp range. I am hoping to get this into my garage in the next day or so to start the build. Thanks to Ty for steering me in the right direction.

LUCKY!!! I wish I had three brand new logs to start with, my old logs are all beat up. I'm also looking forward to seeing this thing progress. What kind of layout are you planning? ( party cruiser or fishing ) or both like me

I was wondering if you had someplace warm to put it in so you could work on it all winter - that'd be sweet to keep us entertained all winter. So rent a place

I'm curious about the gas tank. You said "one of". Are you going to have two or more? Was the log made for a gas tank or was that work you did or have done?

Those are some good looking logs, I would love to have a set of those myself. I'm very curious of what this thing will do when it's finished and has 200+ hp. What are you planning on using for you fence rails?

Thats my next research project. I'm looking at 3 or 4 sources for railing. I want the large radius front rails. I need to think about the floor plan also. I'm going to go with some kind of rear access.

I have a nine foot wide door on my garage so I can squeeze it in there. My trailer is 35' long but garage is 32' deep. I might frame a 10' temporary extention to the front of it. That will give me about 4' all around to work on it.I have some shrink wrap that I can cover the frame work with and some 3.25" ridged roof insulation i can use for walls. that has an R of 30. I'm going to work on that today. I need to do something because its gonna be a long winter not being able to work on it. I could rent a place but that just takes away money I can use on the boat.

Looks good in there ! Is it going to clear the door once you get the fence on ? I think if I was going to assemble one I would build it on a set of dollies like they do at the factory. Then in the spring just roll it out and jack it up onto the trailer ! I don't know if you can do this but it would give you a little head room while working on the deck. Love the pic's keep em comming !!!

The boat is just so big that it would be really tough to pick it up and put it on dollies. Although that would be awesome to get it that low. There is enough head room to work on the deck but the fence wont clear the door. My main concern is getting the deck done and the vinyl or carpet down in a warm place. The fence and furniture is quick and can be done at the last minute once I pull it out of the garage. Another thought I had was to pull the tires off the trailer. That would give me a few more inches clearence and might make it out the door with the fence installed. Will have to take some measurments on that one.

Got the dog house built on the outside of my garage. Now I can put the heat on. Still have to insulate the roof (ran out) and shrink wrap it.

I picked up that trailer from Pontoon Stuff. Super heavy duty for sure. I am very pleased with it. I bought a brand new scissor trailer this year from a different manufacturer and the tongue folded up the first time I put my boat on it. Got my money back and bought a different scissor trailer. No problems with that one but cant use it on a tritoon.

Kool bunch of pictures so far. Looks like you have a good handle on your new project. Keep the pictures coming, we really do enjoy them.
I had to put a tent up in my driveway to store my boat. My garage would have never worked! Now that the tent is up, I can't possibly use my side of the garage for my truck.
You will need special "Coast Guard" approved fuel lines for your under deck gas tank, which BTW is very expensive. I have some left over from my build. I think you are just over a two hour ride from me.

I haven't thought about the fuel lines yet but that's a good point. What do you have left over? If I can use it I will gladly buy it from you. BTW I followed your wood boat build. Simply amazing.

That is the same toilet set up I found. We put a heavy duty trash bag inside and pour in some kitty litter. At end of trip just tie bag and drop in a dumpster. Works really well and much less of a hassel than a port a potty!
Look forward to seeing your toon finished.
