In October '12, I purchased a Boater's Best (Attwood Marine) through the PS website. The boat was stored over the winter, near the house, with no overhead trees. When I readied the boat for Spring use in 2013, I found a 4" rip in the fabric. Further removing it, I found another along the edge and a third near the front. The rips were in the fabric, not on a seam. There was no evidence of anything airborne that hit the cover. Attwood Marine gave me an off-hand denial of any warranty claim (for a 6 month old, on-road use, cover). I naturally vowed I would never use their product(s) again.
I have used Pontoon Stuff in the past, so I went to them again. Working with James Morgan of Pontoon Stuff, I replaced the cover with a Deck Mate cover. Some observations: The material of the new cover was much more substantial than the original Boaters Best cover. It was heavier and felt more durable. The elastic band on the new cover made installation much easier. I stored the boat in the same place as the year before. The new Deck Mate cover came off with no damage. This was after a MUCH more severe winter. I want to thank James Morgan for his help with the replacement cover. I have used Pontoon Stuff in the past for replacement and refurbishment of my Pontoon accessories in the past, and will continue to use them as my sole supplier of accessories. I would not recommend Attwood Marine to anyone; I would recommend Pontoon Stuff to everyone. Their service is great. |

The last time I went down to the lake my Deckmate cover had a 6 ft split in the material. WE had received a lot of rain!!! I put it on just like every other time over the last year, still not sure why it split. After letting Jim Myers know I received a new one yesterday covered under warranty!
PontoonStuff customer service can't be beat! Thanks Jim! |

Mine is shot after a season and winter storage. Going back to tarps because they are a lot cheaper and if one lasts all summer into winter and then goes bad I am only out 30-40 dollars as compared to the 170 or so dollars I am out by buying the one off of here. These maybe good for short term storage but will not hold up to long term stuff.
